Larry Vox (American, b.1937-d.2006)
Abstract artist Larry Zox identified himself a Colorist painter. Born in Iowa, Zox attended the Des Moines Art Center where he studied under George Grosz. Zox received numerous awards and grants throughout his career, including a Guggenheim Fellowship (1967), a grant from the National Council of the Arts (1969), and a grant from the Adolph Gottlieb Foundation (1985). His work has been exhibited at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, The Art Institute of Chicago, and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
In overall good condition, with discoloration, some creasing and minute tears on sheet edges, commensurate with age and medium. Unexamined outside frame.
