Description: Lee Krasner (1908 Brooklyn - 1984 New York) Abstract composition, oil on panel, 50 cm x 55 cm, lower left 49 dated and LK monogrammed, expertise available; Krasner is considered one of the main representatives of Abstract Expressionism in North America. She was the wife of the painter Jackson Pollock with whom she had a studio community. Under his influence, Krasner solved from figurative painting, began to experiment with intense color surfaces and, among other things, came to abstract works using collage techniques. Krasner supported and promoted the choleric painter, who was plagued with self-doubt, and restored her own art.
