JACQUES VILLON (1875-1963) Les cartes ou La réussite (Ginestet & Pouillon E76) aquatint in colors, 1903, on stiff wove paper, the colors strong and bright, signed in brown crayon, one of only 25 impressions (G.& P. also record two proofs in different color variations), with margins, a short tear and two broken creases in the upper right corner (the corner backed), a repaired ¼-in. tear in the upper margin, another short repaired tear in the left margin, a few minor nicks and creases along the sheet edges, pale pinpoint foxing, very minor time staining, otherwise generally in good condition, framed P. 13 5/8 x 17 5/8 in. (347 x 447 mm.) S. 14 7/8 x 18 7/8 in. (377 x 480 mm.)
