Description: An extremely rare, legendary competition chronometer from the 1st series in an aluminium block case - with "Bulletin de 1ère Classe de l'Observatoire Neuchâtel, from April 20th 1965 Case: aluminium, polished, glazed push back. Dial: silver, Arabic numerals, auxiliary seconds, 2 photo indexings at "6" and "8", blued baton hands. Movm.: rectangular bridge movement, 21 jewels, Guillaume screw compensation balance, blued balance spring with two terminal curves, shock protection for balance, lever and escape wheel. Caliber 360 Caliber 360 is a very rare observatory calibre especially made for competition trials, about 200 were made in 4 series. This piece from the first series, 1959. Silvered dial marked "Longines chronometer" with baton hands and numbers and subsecond dial with photo indexing. This watch participated 5 times in Neuchâtel (1959, 1960, 1964, 1964 and 1965) and won 5 First Prizes.
