Pre-Columbian, Mexico, Guerrero, Mezcala, ca. 400 to 100 BCE. Set of three interesting and authentic Guerrero Mezcala stone items. First, gray stone axe god with string cut features, head slightly sloping from old loss. Next, huge greenstone bead of sack form with large central hole. Finally, a small abstract dark graystone abstract humanoid figure with highly worn surface. Size: 5" H (12.7 cm)
Provenance: Ex-Paul Simon collection, Taos, NM acquired between 1960 and 1975
