Description: A lovely Greek terracotta bust of a woman, Egypt, c. 4th 3rd Century BC, retaining almost all of its original pigment. The woman wears a chiton with a red trim border and a himation, her hair styled back in ridge beneath a head band into a coiled bun at the back of her head. Her features are beautifully modeled nd the addition of the original pigment makes this a very attractive piece indeed. H: 4 in (10.2cm). Ex Rhode Island private collection.
