Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 4th century CE. A silvery, shimmering, iridescent example of a delicate blown glass jar with a wide, conical spout. After the invention of blown glass in the first century CE, glass became easy to mass produce as well as cheaper, and so glass items, made by the vitriarii, entered everyday Roman life for the majority of people. Size: 3.25" W x 4.6" H (8.3 cm x 11.7 cm)
