Description: Signed and dated 'Lovis Corinth. 1884' in black lower right. Barley legible stamp of a Munich artist's supply shop verso.The present study of the St. Bernard was created parallel to Corinth's painting "Das Komplott" (cf. Behrend-Corinth 17).

Condition Report: 3 small retouches in the right margin, the canvas rubbed at the edges of the stretcher.
