Manuel Marín (Spanish, b.1942 - d.2007)
Born in Spain in 1942, Marín moved to London in 1962 to study under the direction of Henry Moore. He then moved to New York and opened a gallery, frequented by artists such as Andy Warhol. Marín is known for his mobiles and was heavily influenced by Alexander Calder. He has exhibited works in several important galleries around the world
This stabile is on overall very good condition and has been signed by the artist in the form of an incised signature on the base. The dimensions of the peice are 12 ¼ x 31 ½ x 9 ¼ inches. Very minor stains and scratches throughout.
