This March 84G IMSA GTP is a racing car from a small series for the racing car prototype class . The car has a FIA-registration.
The March 84G IMSA GTP was built in 1984 made for use in the American IMSA and the European racing series in the group-C. Its alloy spaceframe chassis is connected with a highly developed aerodynamic synthetic body. The base of this racing engine it the service friendly Chevrolet V-8. Six new March 84Gs were used in 1984 by various private teams, along with several cars from the previous year, they formed a numerically strong contingent in the IMSA series of the year. The race car drove in total 4 times in the 24 hours of Daytona and was last used in the the historic racing series in the group C. Here it won first place at the Silverstone Classic 2016 and third in the Le Mans Classic in that same year. In the support race of the 24 Hours of Le Mans this vehicle drove in 2008 to the first place.
