Description: 13th-14th century AD. A mixed group of pewter badges comprising: one discoid with face of Christ, bearded with radiating lines to the nimbus, pierced; one heraldic heater-shaped with loop to one corner, cross with pellets to the border on a hatched field; one heater-shaped, bifacial, with four lateral loops, hatched field to each face; possibly from Amiens, France. See Spencer, B. Pilgrim Souvenirs and Secular Badges, Woodbridge, 2010, 236c and p.218-9. 17 grams total, 33-36mm (1 1/4 - 1 1/2"). Property of a Suffolk lady; acquired on the UK art market.
