Braune Lederbände der Zeit mit rotem Rückenschild und reicher Rückenvergoldung (Deckel etwas beschabt, wenige Wurmgänge).
Letzte und vollständigste Ausgabe des erstmals 1668 bzw. 1695 und 1708 erschienenen dreiteiligen Werkes (hier die "Observations" und die "Dernieres Observations" durchpaginiert). - Hirsch/H. IV, 124f. - Lesky 427 - Siebold II, 143ff. - Mauriceau (1637-1709) war "einer der hervorragendsten französ. Geburtshelfer d. 17. Jhdts. ... Er begründete seinen Ruhm durch sein grosses geburtshilfliches Werk" (H./H.). - Alter Namensstempel auf den Titeln, teilweise etwas gebräunt bzw. stockfleckig, teilweise schwach wasserrandig. Gutes Exemplar, dekorativ gebunden.

Final and most complete edition. - 2 vols. With 32 (9 full-page) text-engravings. Contemp. full calf, richly gilt (covers somewhat rubbed, a few wormholes). - Old collector's stamp to titles, some browning resp. foxing in places, minor dampstaining in places. Very good copy in decorative bindings.
