This Mercedes-Benz 230B Cabrio has had two previous owners in Europe and the USA. After its return to the European continent, the vehicle was restored and given its new condition. The vehicle has a new genral inspcton (TÜV) and a H-certification (for historic vehicles). The service history of the vehicle is completely documented.
The Mercedes-Benz W 21, made between 1933 and 1937, was also known under the model name 200. It was derived by the type 170 and later replaced the types Stuttgart 200 and Stuttgart 260. Several body versions were offered, for instance as sedan or convertible. The convertible B has two doors, but two seat rows. A Pullman sedan version of the 200 was also offered, it was nick-named ‘Kraftdroschke’ (power cab) in the German Reich. The type 230 was produced between1936 and 1937 – of the Cabriolet B were produced 966 models. Based on the long chassis, the model was offered with a more powerful engine with about 15 hp more than the 200.
