Production period of the Mercedes-Benz 280 SLC Coupé was from 1974 until 1981. The sport coupé based on the model range W 111 and was introduced on the Parisian car showroom in October 1971. For the first time a first aid kit was fitted in series, which is located underneath the rear window. The SLC was offered from 1971 until 1981 as 350 SLC, 450 SLC, 280 SLC, 380 SLC, 450 SLC and 500 SLC, with similar engines and gear equipment like the Roadster.
This SLC was first registrated by its first owner in 1977 in Argentina. He registered the vehicle also in the state-owned 'Club Automoviles Clasicos' in 1965. In 2000 the import followed from South America to Germany. After an overall successful Technical Control Board inspection and registration in 2000 the car was in a small collection for 15 years - with standard riding journeys - until its readmission since the last spring. After that a ClassicData short assessment was conducted, which declare a worth of EUR 21.500 (February 2015). Since this time the car was riding only c. 300 km.
The SLC has a valid Technical Control Board inspection until 12/2016 and can be register immediately. Also the car has a H license plate number.
The very good body condition and the enourmous equipment, which is very good for this 6-cylinder model, makes it interesting for the collector.
