MISS LIBERTY BY BENJAMIN FRANKLIN PERKINS (AMERICAN, 1904-1993).
Oil on canvas, signed with initials and dated "2-1-90." Known as "Brother Ben" to many, the Alabama-born self-taught artist created several versions of the Statue of Liberty in oil. The painting shows a rendering of the famous symbol of American freedom in mustard yellow with red accents and text against a backfground of blue with white stars. 32"h. 20"w. wood slat frame, 32.3"h. 20.5"w.
