Monumental Pair of Renaissance Style Patinated Bronze Andirons,Late 19th Century Each triangular columnar form with a crouching lion flanked by two cherubs holding a pedestal base with two sphinx, above an eagle panel with three goat heads supporting twin winged term figures flanking a cherub head in raised relief, surmounted by a lion holding a double fleur-de-lis coat of arms, mounted on a cartouche shape plinth base. Dimensions 45 x 27 x 13 inches (1.14 m x 69 cm x 33 cm) [The back of both forms drilled with two holes, some verdigris patination at base.]
