Description: Watercolour Signed, lower right 75 x 101.5cm (29 1/2 x 40in.) Provenance: From the collection of Roger Glover It is believed that the present lot depicts the steps at Versailles. An oil painting of a fountain titled The Fountain at Versailles, and bearing a striking resemblence to the fountain depicted in the present lot, was sold at Phillips sale of British & Irish Art, 10 March 1992, ex-lot 29.
