Description: American Revolution
"The Engagement of the Centurion and Acapulco..."
c. 1781, Revolutionary War, Naval Print "The Engagement of the Centurion and Acapulco, off Cape Espiritu Santo, in which the latter was taken", Choice Very Fine.
Overall size 12.5" x 9", plate size 9" x 11". Published in London by Alexander Hogg for use as an illustration in a book. The two ships are shown exchanging broadsides, with the British Centurion appearing to have the upper hand over the Spanish ship.
