Description: This is a Shaker made wrought iron large serving flesh fork with a hand turned wooden handle from New England circa 1800s for your consideration. The Shaker flesh fork has a single bar of iron wrought into a two prongs on one end and into a wooden handle on the other end. The wooden handle is hand turned from a single piece of walnut wood with double scribe lines and a bail wire for hanging. The wooden handle is attached to the wrought iron by a brass bolster. This large serving flesh fork was exceptionally handmade by the Shaker brothers for use for by the Shaker sisters in the community kitchen.
Condition Report: Excellent condition with age appropriate wear and patina.
Dimensions: 15 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide.
