Description: This is a Hand Turned Wooden Black Ash Dough Bowl from New England circa early 1800s for your consideration. This Antique New England Dough Bowl is heavy in weight. This is a quality handmade bowl that was hand turned. The Antique Wooden Dough Bowl was made from a single piece of black ash, which grows in New England in a temperate zone climate. The antique bowl has a large grooved incised collar and has a flat resting base! The Antique New England Dough Bowl has a mellow rich warm patina. The Antique Black Ash Bowl has a noticeable out of round shape that is typical and signifies a hand turned wooden bowl. The outside of the bowl has a large and wide bee hive shape and with a flat surface on the bottom to rest on. The New England Dough Bowl has been cleaned and oiled with Natural Bees Wax Oil. No stain was added
