Sophie Taeuber Arp behind Dada head Gelatin silver print. Circa 1920. Titled S.H.ARP_TAEUBER in ink on graph paper affixed to mount. 5 7/8 x 41/2in. (15 x 11.5cm.) PROVENANCE From the estate of Theo and Nelly van Doesburg; by descent to the present owner. Theo van Doesburg (1883-1931) was an artist, writer, critic and founder in 1917 of the De Stijl group. NOTES The Arp Foundation in Rolandseck has confirmed that the photographer of this work is Nic Aluf. There is another print of this image in their collection with the photographer's blindstamp.
