Description: A Nicoya monochrome shoe pot, Costa Rica, AD 1200 - 1550, with little applique hallucinogenic buttons/adornos on either side and a small zoomorphic applique at the back. Attractive black/orange mottled surfaces with light deposits. 8 1/4 in x 6 3/4 in (20.8 x 17.2 cm). Ex-Southern California private collection.
