Description: Kacho-e (Goldfish - 金魚). Original color woodblock print, published 1926. Signed: Shoson. Seal: Shoson. Publisher: Watanabe Shozaburo (“little sausage“ seal, between 1932 - 1941 in use). On the back, little stamp “made in Japan“ (1921 - 1941).
Signature and seal of Koson appear only in this form on prints from the publisher Watanabe, for whom he began working in 1926. The color palette of these prints are primarily in oban format, more luminous and lighter than the earlier works usual for Koson.
