OOC The Sisters Joseph R DeCamp c1911 Maine

Description:

OOC - ' The Sisters ' by Joseph Rodefer DeCamp (MA, 1858-1923) depicting his daughters Pauline & Lydia outdoors in a Maine landscape, under a willow tree. Unsigned, ca. 1911, in original carved and gilded matched corner signed Thulin frame #2223, dated 1930. Provenance: Through direct descent from the DeCamp family. This painting appears as Fig. 47 on page 80 of the DeCamp catalogue by Laurene Buckley, published by Prestel in 1995. Painted overlooking the shore on Vinalhaven, ME SS: 28" x 18", OS: 32" x 22", cleaned and varnished, minor inpaint in lower right hand corner, otherwise fine.
