Description: A mid to late 19th century Staffordshire England 'Yeddo' transferware pottery bowl. Decorated with Japonesque aesthetic motif, with transfer print central scene depicting Japanese figures retrieving flowers, embellished around the borders with a variety of Oriental objects on a Oxblood colored ground. Also having banded rim with cloud work decoration. Marked to under side with black Staffordshire registration kite mark and pattern name under glaze. "Yeddo" referring to the former name of Tokyo (Edo). Made circa 1875 - 1880. Measures approx. 10-3/4" diameter and sits 1-3/4" H. Will not ship, we can refer local shippers.
