(35.9 x 50.8 cm.) PROVENANCE The estate of the artist. Acquired by the present owner by 1963. Vernon . The painting is one of three heretofore unlocated early oils by Oscar Bluemner, and is documented, along with record sketches, in Bluemner's first Painting Diary (Smithsonian Institution Archives of American Art, New York, Mircofilm Roll 339: Frame 114 [1911]; Frame 482 [1917]).
