Description: [Crime] Over 31 items, mostly press photos of crime scenes, mostly 1950s-1960s. ++ About 30 press photos related to crime and police. Includes policeman with a club leading away a prisoner bleeding from his eye; Rat Packer gang member at a table flanked by 2 officers showing him knives seized from gang members; police questioning a wounded gang victim; police arresting a looter (Mar. 15, 1950); Edward Taylor attacking a reporter taking his picture; UPI photo of Laconia police posing with a machete seized in motorcycle gang riot (June 20, 1965); Communications Workers of America protest with police grabbing a protester; Edward Gibbs posing with 1500 $1 bills he won in a contest (May 21, 1965); and others. B/w. Mostly 4to or smaller, at least 3 have marks on image side consistent with a newspapers staff considering trimming them for publication. Most have rubber stamp on verso. Many have wire service blurb or its remnant tipped to verso. Many have contemp ink or pencil notation on verso (mostly contemporary).
