Description: Painted four-panel Japanese folding screen, Sodatsu School, with designs of chrysanthemums and flowering autumn plants on rice paper. Housed in a black lacquer frame with brass decorative hardware. 36" H x 71" W. 18th/19th century. Provenance: Copy of the original 1974 Japanese purchase receipt from Kaji's Antiques, Kyoto, Japan included. (Additional high-resolution photos are available at www.caseantiques.com)

Condition Report: Toning/darkening of rice paper with scattered losses to paint throughout, especially to panel edges and scattered tears to paper. Scattered abrasions/losses to frame.
