Description: PAIR CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN BALUSTER VASES AND COVERS, Daoguang Period. Iron red fu lion finial and handles, the body with raised flower-filled vases and buddhist emblems on on turquoise ground with floral decoration. - 25 1/2 in. high.
One with a restored fu dog finial attached to the cover with a screw, tail with piece missing and a small chip on the rim of the cover. Chips on the foot rim. The other in good condition except for two chips on one fu lion handle. Both with very minor enamel rubbing on the edge on the raised decoration.
Notes: PROVENANCE: Estate of Henri Gerson, Bangkok. Acquired in 1932 at the Royal Palace sale following the abdication of King Rama VII (House of Chakri)
