PAIR OF HAVILAND & CO. PORCELAIN DEMITASSE CABINET CUPS AND SAUCERS, ORIGINALLY DESIGNED BY THEODORE R. DAVIS FOR PRESIDENT AND MRS. RUTHERFORD B. HAYES, CIRCA 1880.
Each cup molded to simulate a bamboo stalk segment and molded with a bamboo shoot handle, each saucer with a bamboo shoot receptacle molded to enclose the cup, all on a pearl ground, each piece printed "H & Co." in green enamel. Diameters 2 and 4 3/4 inches.
