Description: Jacob Evertson (1734-1807) and Margaret Bloom (1744-1807) were married in Fishkill, New York on October 29, 1761. The following year they built a large brick house in Amenia, where Jacob had inherited land situated in the Great Nine Partners Patent. Representing Dutchess County in the Second Provincial Congress of New York, 1775-1776, Jacob also served in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War.Each oil on canvas, 29 1/2 x 23 1/2 inches. Each with typed label on the reverse identifying the sitters.
