The Four Books of Architecture, London: Isaac Ware, 1738. 4 parts in one volume, 2° (403 x 241mm). 4 engraved architectural titles and 212 plates, the first 7 in volume I are illustrations in the text, a few other illustrations and diagrams in the text, list of subscribers (occasional very minor discolouration). Contemporary speckled calf, double gilt fillet round sides, red leather lettering piece on spine (upper cover becoming loose, corners bumped). Harris 691; Fowler 229; RIBA 2395.
