Description: 3rd century BC-3rd century AD. A substantial lentoid-section silver torc with wire wound about the shank, hook-and-eye closure; median punched rosette to the upper face flanked by fish and scrolled pellets; row of cut-marks to the reverse and pointillé Aramaic inscription. 418 grams, 19cm (7 1/2"). Private collection, London, UK; formerly with Persepolis Gallery, Mayfair, London, UK; in the 1980s.
