Épreuve d'époque sur papier citrate.
Mention à la mine de plomb au dos : "L. Bonnat".

On lui doit environ 200 portraits, parmi lesquels ceux de Louis Pasteur, Alexandre Dumas fils, Victor Hugo, Ingres, Jules Ferry, Adolphe Thiers ou Émile Loubet. Il est aussi l'auteur du "Martyre de Saint Denis" au Panthéon de Paris.
