Description: PEN & INK ILLUSTRATION - Caricature by George Wachsteter (1911-2004), of Percy Faith (1908-1976), Canadian Bandleader & Grammy Award Winner, dated June 1950, for the New York Journal-American, marked 'Radio', with blue to indicate halftone. This was at the time he was working with Tony Bennett and Doris Day before becoming Musical Director at Columbia Records in 1951. Art could possibnly served to promote his radio program at the time, 'Music by Faith' which ran over Armed Forces Radio. On 11" x 14" cardstock, matted. 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" image. Editor's stamps and notations, glue stains on lyre.
