The bronze is in very good condition. Base occasionally with smaller chips along the edges.
Peter Breuer (1856-1930)
Peter Breuer was born in Cologne and became a reputable professor at the Academy of Arts in Berlin. Among his students were, for instance, Rudolf Belling (1886-1972) and Hans Damman (1867-1942). Breuer was very appreciated for his monuments of well-known personalities. He is considered as one of the pioneers of modern sculpture in Germany. (nlu)
