Description: PIERRE-AUGUSTE RENOIR
Le Chapeau Épinglé (1e planche).

Etching, circa 1894. 122x85 mm; 4 5/8x3 1/4 inches, full margins. A superb, dark impression.

This etching is based on an 1893 oil and pastel painting by Renoir which represents the artist Berthe Morisot's daughter pinning a flower to her cousin's hat. The same subject was sourced for two additional etchings in 1894 and a lithograph in 1898. Delteil 6.
