More About this Item

Description: 2 December 1906 PARIS. Part de Fondateur. purple, buff. No 149. Most attractive and decorative piece, partly in Jugendstil/art nouveau, designed by Paul Poncet. The company manufactured, at Paris, batteries for cars, trains, telephone systems, etc., and the design shows all of these, and an elegant lady showing thebatteries, with underprint of batteries. Poncet was born at Voiron (Isère), and exhibited successfully at the Paris Salon from 1899. He produced many designs for share certificates. Extremely rare.
