Description: Ca. Ø 44 mm, ca. 77 g, original 18K gold case, very high quality, small lateral opening pusher for spring lid on back, dome signed and numbered, very rare Lepine cylinder movement, repeating hours and quarters on case with only 1 hammer, invented and made by Lepine, enamel dial in very good condition, original pink gold hands, altogether in very good condition and in working order, original pocket watch by the Royal watchmaker Lépine Paris. A comparable watch with the number 5627 was sold in Geneva auction for 23,000 SwissFrancs (http://www.antiquorum.com/catalog/lots/lot-51-109?browse_all=1&page=2&q=lepine+du+roy+wolf). Another watch with no. 5538 was part of a collection, formerly sold as Lot 443 in the 88th Dr. Crott's auction. Nearly the same watch with identical construction was sold in the 85th Dr. Crott's auction for 84,000 !
