Description: PORCELAIN ELEPHANT FIGURAL MINIATURE LAMP, brown tones with gilt decoration, depicting four elephant heads emerging from a basket-form font, circular base with large scallops, underside with blue stamp "AS" within a wreath and impressed "1090", handwritten "183 / VIL / 14.", cased pale to dark lemon yellow with satin finish umbrella-form shade, daisy and rib pattern with flared lightly crimped rim, No. 1 Taplin-Brown collar. Fitted with a Plume & Atwood Victor burner.

Condition Report: Lamp undamaged, minute wear to gilt decoration, shade with a minute flake to opal casing at edge of rim. Shade holder burner soldered to burner platform.

Provenance: Collection of Helen A. Feltner, Winchester, VA.

Dimensions: 13 1/4" H to top of shade, 6 1/2" H to top of collar, 5 1/4" D base. Shade 4 3/4" H, 5 1/2" D fitter.

Medium: Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century.
