Until its import to Italy in 1980, the Porsche 911 Targa was in Germany from 1972 onwards. In Italy it was rebuilt to a G-model in 1988. During restoration the body was completely sandblasted and resprayed. The interior was fitted with a Porsche 930 Turbo interior. In 2016 the car was imported to the Czech Republic, where it was serviced. The vehicle is rust free and ready to be rebuilt back to an E-model. Last owner was the famous fashion designer Alessandro Sartori.
The Porsche 911 was presented in 1963 at the International Motor Show Germany as the successor of the Porsche 356. The name was first 901, but as it was a trademark by Peugeot it had to be changed und the car was introduced as 911 into the market by 1964. It was available as Coupe, Targa and convertible. The G model was built till 1989 and was later replaced by the 694 type.
