PRESENTATIONAL TROWEL SET COMMEMORATING ARDWICK CONSERVATION CLUB BY ARNOLD & LEWIS.
England, mid 19th century, bone and silver. An all bone pestle and heavily incised sterling trowel reading "Presented by Harry Fitzgeorge Slater, Architect to W.H. Houldsworth Esq. on the occasion of his laying the Foundation Stone of the Ardwick Conservation Club, Manchester, 27 July 1878." Both set in original purple velvet lined presentation case.
