Description: From his dessert service. Made by the royal Bavarian court jeweller Mayerhofer in Munich around 1850. Augsburg corded decoration. Gilt silver, the handles and shafts are engraved with the mirror monogram "A" beneath the Bavarian royal crown. Marked with "Mayrhofer", the Munich city mark, and the hallmark "13 F". Consists of twelve knives with steel blades (marked "ZEH"), six knives with vermeil blades, five spoons, six forks, and five ice cream spoons. Lengths between 14 and 20 cm. Total weight (without the knives with steel blades) ca. 960 g. There is also a vermeil spoon without a monogram, marked "Wollenweber" (54 g) and a silver spoon of Prince Adalbert with the monogram and an illegible hallmark (30 g). Prince Adalbert was the son of King Ludwig I and father of Prince Alfons of Bavaria (1862 - 1933).
