Description: SERIAL #: None DESIGN: Reproduction percussion musket made by Springfield armory. Single trigger. .58 Caliber. MATERIAL/FINISH COMPOSITION: Steel components finished in the white. Full length wood military stock with low comb. FEATURES: Low post front sight also serves as bayonet lug. Two stage rear folding notch sight. Lock plate marked "(Eagle Motif)" and "U.S./SPRINGFIELD" in front of the hammer. Marked "1861" behind the hammer. Top barrel flat at rear stamped "1861". Two piece trigger guard. Three barrel bands. "V", "P", and "Eagle" proofed at left rear of barrel. Inspector's cartouche on left side of stock above trigger guard. Sling swivels. Curved metal butt plate with US marked top tang. Metal ramrod with bell shaped tip. Comes with heavy duty leather sling and white canvas sleeve. CONDITION: Very good. Sporadic discoloration and spotty pitting to metal surfaces. Modest wear to stock with light scratches and one modest gouge to butt stock on the bottom. Sling is very good with modest surface wear.
