Description: 1st-2nd century AD. A hollow-formed bronze appliqué bust of Minerva with dressed hair beneath a Corinthian-type helmet with swept bifid crest, dentilled edge to the mantle, four attachment holes. Cf. Rolland, H. Bronzes Antiques de Haute Provence, Paris, 1965, item 72 for type. 67 grams, 85mm (3 1/2"). Property of a private collector; acquired before 1975.
