Description: 1st-2nd century AD. A folding knife comprising a short iron blade with straight cutting edge, curved back, lug to the lower edge, pivoted on a bronze handle with slot to the rear formed as an eagle with wings raised. 52 grams, 95mm (3 3/4"). Property of a Surrey collector; acquired in the early 1970s.
