Description: 3rd century AD. A hollow-formed D-section gold hoop with raised rim to the bezel, repoussé portrait bust of a youthful male. Cf. Ruseva-Slokoska, L. Roman Jewellery, Sofia, 1991, item 181. 3.98 grams, 25mm overall, 20.62mm internal diameter (approximate size British V 1/2, USA 10 3/4, Europe 24.40, Japan 23) (1"). From an old German collection; acquired in Munich in the 1970s.

Condition Report: Very fine condition, repaired. A large wearable size.
