A gold ring with tapering shank and flaring at the shoulders to an oval bezel; set with a glass intaglio engraved with the bust of Sol Invictus wearing radiate crown. 9.45 grams, 23.02 overall, 19.06mm internal diameter (approximate size British S, USA 9 1/4, Europe 20.00, Japan 19) (3/4"). From an important London collection, acquired in the 1990s.
