Description: 1st-3rd century AD. A bronze pair of medical tweezers with flat-section arms, scooped ends, balustered knop finial. Cf. Milne, J.S. Surgical Instruments in Greek and Roman Times, Oxford, 1907, plate XXVI, item 1. 24 grams, 12.5cm (13"). From an important Spanish collection; accompanied by a copy of the Spanish export permit.
