A bronze figurine of Mercury standing nude with winged petasos, mantle to the left shoulder, caduceus in the left hand, marsupium coin pouch in the right hand, standing on an integral tiered stand. Cf. Rolland, H. Bronzes Antiques de Haute Provence, Paris, 1965, items 51 and 52. 47 grams, 65mm including stand (2 1/2"). Property of an Essex collector; acquired on the European art market.
